7 months today!

Hello everyone, I turned 7 months today. Daddy will be home in about a week, so he can see all the things I have started to do. I rolled over a week ago from back to belly, but haven't done it since. I can sit up unsupported, but if I lean or reach for anything, I often fall over lol. It's a lot of fun. I have a new Jymboree that Mommy's friend Darci said her girls like. I think I like it too. I laugh a lot and squeal and make all kinds of noises, and I like to grab my Mommy's face when she isn't looking at me, turn her face towards me, and then stare at her. Mommy gets a kick out of that. Mommy and I have taken a few walks down the road when the weather was really nice. This past weekend we had a thunderstorm with hail, and then it snowed. Daddy says this is a sign that winter is pretty much over. I hope he is right and so is my Mommy. Here are some shots and videos of me having fun in the last week or so.

Thank you Darci for telling my Mommy about the Gymboree, she got me one and I like it a lot.

I rolled over this day, but Mommy couldn't get the camera's batteries changed in time...oops, better luck next time Mom.

Like my hat?

I was trying to scoot around here. I was kind of tired though.

And another of me making lots of noises. Mommy wants me to roll over like I did yesterday, but I don't feel like it with an audience.

Trying to get a drink.

Looking at my picture book of Who Loves Me.

My buddy Squirt is trying to help me roll over. He is a good sport for how hard I pull on his hair. But he really likes it because he keeps coming back.

Here I am watching Toivo and talking really loud at times.

One more video of the Bouncing Boy.

Enjoying lunch. Can't ya tell? I often make faces at Mommy.

I am watching the cats play.

Aren't I just cute?

My new book that sings songs.

Sitting up with the slightest help from my boppy pillow.

NO help with sitting. Don't make me laugh or reach for anything because I just might fall over yet. But I am getting it.

6 months old!!

Well, today Mommy took me to see the doctor for my 6 month checkup. I actually turned 6 months 10 days ago. My new stats are 26 3/4" long, 18# 5.6 oz, and my head is 43 3/4 cm. Doctor says I slowed down a little bit in height and weight, but she expects a big growth spurt soon. I am eating my first solids. I have tried squash, sweet potato, carrots, green beans, peas, peaches, applesauce, banana, and pear, plus rice cereal. Mommy tried all of them with me for 3 days each and I did well. So now we are going through a second time and even adding a 2nd meal a day. I also tried my first biter bisquit today and that was yummy. Mommy did take me to get my pictures taken but they aren't in yet. When they do, she will put them on here so everyone can see them. For now, here are several others.

"I got mail!"

I like my bumbo seat.

I actually turned 6 months this day.

I am really learning to stand in my exersaucer.

I even discovered me in the mirror on there.

Here I am using my pacifier teether and trying watermelon for the first time. It is yummy!

Toivo wanted to play ball with me.

My famous "Ooo" picture. I have been doing this alot lately.

Here I am in my Johnny Jump-up. It only took me a couple of minutes to figure this thing out.

I can turn myself around.

Aren't I cute!

This was taken today after my doctor appointment. I had to get shots again, so I had a rough afternoon. But at least I look cute in my sailor shirt and Little Sailor socks in honor of my Daddy. He will be home soon...HURRAY!!

Happy Easter!

Hi Everyone,

First of all we wanted to wish everyone a belated Happy St. Patrick's Day. It was also Daddy's birthday, so Happy Birthday to Daddy. Like my sign, Daddy?

"KISS ME! It's my first St. Paddy's Day!"

"I Drink...Until I Pass Out!"

Mommy and Me looking festive.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Here I am taking a nap with my sailor shirt on. I might be like Daddy some day.

Then, I got a visit from my Uncle Nate, Aunt Kim, and cousins Teresa and Nicole. They came up from Texas. This will be the only time I get to see them since my uncle is in the Army and they are moving to Germany this fall for 3 years. Uncle Nate is going to PTA school in the Army and has to be stationed in Germany.

Uncle Nate and Me again.
There was a picture of cousin Nicole and me, but not sure where it went.

Happy Easter!! My Grandma and Grandpa Bradley are up for the weekend and so I have been having a good time with them. I got lots of baskets for Easter.

This is what the Easter Bunny brought me at my house.

This is what was dropped off at Uncle Nate and Aunt Kim's house, so they sent it to me!

The Easter Bunny also came to my Grandma and Grandpa Bradley's house downstate, so they brought this all up for me. I made out pretty good. I have 2 teeth, but can't eat the candy yet. So Mommy will have to help.

Here are 2 pics of Me with everything I got!! Anyone is welcome to come and help me eat the candy!!

Hope you all had a Great Easter!!

Hi Everyone,

Well it's been a bit since our last entry. On Feb. 17, I took Jacob over to Marquette to visit with my long time friend Nancy and her 15 month old son Michael. This was the first meeting the boys had, so we got a few snapshots of them.

On our way back, we went into Houghton and helped welcome back Pete's cousin Jeremy who had been in Iraq for about a year or so and will now be in Washington until he has to go to Afghanistan. We didn't end up getting a picture of Jacob with Jeremy that day, but here is his twin brother Jason, who came in from Texas. He is also a soldier with the Army as well and will eventually be going overseas to Iraq.

Cousin Jason and Jacob

Here are just a couple shots of Jacob enjoying dinner time.

Here Jacob is with cousin Jeremy and Uncle Jared. They came over to visit as well as clean off the garage roof again and bring in some firewood into the basement for the wood stove. That was very nice of them. Jacob had a good time with the boys. Jeremy leaves on March 9 to go to his base in Washington.

This day marks Jacob's 5 months old. He loves his exersaucer.

Here is Jacob with Grandpa Tormala. We spent a few hours over there for sloppy joes and such since cousin Jeremy wasn't able to have sloppy joes while in Iraq and he missed them.
Finally, here are some photos of Jacob and his t-shirt and hat he got from Uncle Nate. He is also a soldier in the Army stationed out of Fort Hood in Texas. The t-shirt says "My uncle is a soldier. Fort Hood, Texas USA" This is the first time wearing it, but unfortunately may be the last since Jacob is growing so fast out of his clothes.
