Almost Christmas

Hi everyone, it has been a bit since we have had a chance to post. My mom works till around 5:30 and dad and I are pretty busy doing stuff around the house, well sometimes anyway. Not too much has happened since the last post. We went down to Grandma and Grandpa Bradley's' house for Thanksgiving. It was a long ride for me but we made it there and back. It is getting close to Christmas now, the presents are under the tree and soon Santa will come.

Excellent...

Well, we have had some snow lately but not too much. Hopefully we don't get too much more so mom will not have to plow too much the rest of the winter. Dad will be going back to work shortly after Christmas. I wish he could stay home with me but I guess I will get along.

My First Thanksgiving and such....

Mom took some pictures of me earlier in November and so they are below. I am really growing fast!! Mom took me to the doctor 11/30 for my 2 month check up. That is ahead. But first...

Starting to smile at Mom

Mom is always taking pictures

My Mom can always get me to smile, she makes funny faces

Check out my baseball outfit. Mom put shoes on me too! They are pretty cool.

I am really getting to like my bouncy chair. I don't get hiccups much anymore in it. Sometimes I take a nap even.

THANKSGIVING
Mom, Dad and I started on the road around 7:30am on 11/21/07 to go to Grandma and Grandpa Bradley's house. It took us just under 10 hrs to get there. I did pretty good. I slept alot, Mom fed me while Dad drove. We stopped a few times too so I could get my diaper changed and stretch out. Plus, Toivo and Zed needed to go potty as well. We took them with us because it was going to be in the 10 degree mark outside for the holiday weekend and we didn't want to leave them outside the whole time. We arrived around 5:15pm. I was a little fussy and only wanted Mom to hold me. I slept ok after the first night. Mom, Grandma and I went shopping on Black Friday. That was interesting. I slept most of it. I got to meet my cousin Heather, her friend, and my great uncle Ed for brunch. They were very nice.

He are just a couple of pics from the weekend. Grandma B has more, but hasn't sent them yet.

Like my camo? That's for Dad.

MOM RETURNS TO WORK/MY CHECKUP
Mom returned to work this week on Tuesday. I got to stay home with Dad. We had a good time. I didn't cry much for Dad. Mom said returning to work wasn't bad, but she tells me every day that she misses me. I also turned 2 months old on Wednesday. Friday was my checkup and my first shots. I didn't like the shots too much, but Mom was there to comfort me and that was good. I also grew another inch. So I am now 23 3/4 " long, my head is 29 3/4, and I weigh a whopping 13 lbs 14.4 oz!!! The doctor said we could switch to a less expensive formula so I don't eat Mom and Dad out of house and home. The doctor says I may start on solids early if I keep growing this fast. I am also slmost sleeping through the night, about 5 hrs at a time. Mom and Dad hope I sleep just a little more soon. I will try.

Here are a few pics of the snow we have been gettng slammed with.

Dad put up the Christmas Tree. Mom decorated it. I get to look at it. I love the lights. I am glad I will have Daddy home for Christmas since it is my first. Mommy is really glad because she and Dad have never spent a Christmas together ever. That includes when they dated. So this is a special year. I may get to see my Uncle Nate who is on leave from Iraq and Aunt Kim if they can come up from Texas. If not, at least he will be with Aunt Kim and my cousins Teresa and Nicole.

Here is the last pic of the day. Mom took this earlier today. I was taking a nap. Dad dressed me in one of my many Christmas/winter outfits.

Mom promises to take more pics and get them on here sooner. I kind of haven't made it too easy for her or Dad. But I am getting better at it. Happy Holidays!! Love you all. Jacob

First Accumulation of the White Stuff

Today is November 6th and last night we had our first accumulation of snow. It was not the first snow of the year, we had that in October. This is my first snowfall and it was pretty weird to see all of the white outside, it was all brown and gray yesterday. My dad took some pictures outside and mom took a few from inside too. I will show them to you. Things are going pretty good for me, mom usually tends to me in the evening and dad and I get up usually around 5:30-6am and watch hunting shows. Well here are some pictures.

This is off the back deck in the early morning.

This is my backyard.

This is my kitty looking at the snow.

Here I am watching hunting shows with dad.

I was tired as you can see.

This is looking out the kitchen window.

Well not much else is going on. I will let you know when something happens again.

My First Halloween

I went trick-or-treating with my Mom today to my Grandma T's work. I was a pirate, but it was windy and cold outside so my Mom put my pumpkin suit on me. It was really warm. Grandma took me around to meet some of the patients she takes care of. One of them was a patient my Mom had in therapy where she works. Everyone thought I was so cute. Later on, Mom, Dad and I went down to Grandma & Grandpa T's house. Mom thought she forgot her camera so Grandma took pictures. But when we got home and Mom wanted to put pictures on here, she couldn't find the camera. She ended up finding it in my diaper bag which did go with us to Grandma's. Sometimes I think my Mom would lose her head if it wasn't attached.

I also went to the doctor's on Monday. I grew A LOT!! Mom thought I was going to be around 10 lbs, but I fooled her. I weighed in at 11 lbs 4.8 oz and 22 3/4" long. I am growing like a weed! I do have some baby acne on my cheeks, possibly heat rash on the back of my neck, and the doctor says cradle cap on my eyebrows. So Mom is putting all kinds of stuff on me. Something should help. I am still cute though.

Check out my latest pics. Squirt is my buddy. He likes to lay next to me on Mom and Dad's bed and also drink my bath water. He is a weird cat but he is nice to me.

My First Trip

Well I was able to go on my first trip yesterday. My dad had to go to Duluth, MN to get his fingerprints taken by the Coast Guard for work. We left yesterday at around noon or so and it took us about four hours to get to the hotel. We stayed at the Holiday Inn. They were nice and lots of people told me I was cute and stuff. I don't remember too much of the ride, Mommy rode in the back with me most of the time and Dad drove.

That is the bridge going into Duluth, MN

My dad says that those are where ore boats load at.

That's the sign that says we got to Duluth.

Here is me and Dad in the Hotel.

Here is me acting surprised at mom taking a picture.

This is one of my Halloween outfits.

I was tired here, didn't even know my picture was taken.

The hotel was pretty neat, we stayed on the 15th floor of a 16 floor building. There were two queen size beds, so mom and dad got to have their own beds and I was able to get a crib from the hotel staff. We had pizza and watched some TV.

In the morning my dad had to go early to the Coast Guard, I missed him so I was fussy for mom. Then we went shopping at the Miller Hill Mall. I got a pumpkin outfit, and a book. My mom got some jammy pants, and a book. Dad got a book too. My mom also got her rings cleaned at a jewelry store

The ride home was pretty uneventful. I slept for most of the way, and so did mom. Dad tried to sing along to country music song, but I don't think he should quit his day job. More to come later.
